Mails close for the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations) : — Tuesday, Sept. 2. For Northern Ports, per Wauaka, at 7 p.m. The guard's van nnist not be used for this mail. Wednesday, Sent. 3. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (specially addressed correspondence only), and Australian Colonies, and also for France, Algiers, Mauritius, Cape of Good Hope, Mada -ascar, &c, (specially addressed, "per French packet " only), per express, to connect with s.s. Tarawera, at 7.30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4. For Otago, per Hawea, at 11.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, at 11.40 a.m. ; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, Australian Colonies, and Uuited Kingdom aud Continent of Europe, per Rotomahana (to connect with s.s. lonic at Wellington), at 3.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m. ; guard's vim, 4 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London about Oct. 16.
