STEEPLECHASE FIXTURE.
THE FEISCO MAIL SERVICE. WELLINGTON, June 9. Arrangements have been made between the Wellington Eacing Club and the Island Bay Park Company to hold a Steeplechase meeting at Island Bay immediately after the Napier meeting, which comes off on June 26. Messrs Buckley, Stafford, and Fitzherbert have been retained for the defence in the Grey marriage suit. All the material allegations are denied. Government have received information that probably the American Congress will grant a subsidy for the continuation of the San Francisco mail service. Wahanui and his part) arrived in town this morning.
