-UullSUl.llHl. ____^_^_ Sergeant Mason, at the Licensing meeting at Lytteltonon Thursday, reported the convictions for drunkenness during the last three years .as follow, showing the offence to be largely on the increase at Port: — 1881, 141 cases ; 1852, 12G cases ; 1883, 2 J3 convictions ; and the figures for 1884 promise to also show au increase on former years.
