An official statement has been published that the Queen's health has greatly improved, and that Her Majesty has nearly recovered from the effeots of the accident at Windsor Castle in March last, and is now able to walk muoh better than has been the case for some time past.
PARIS, Nov. 20. It is now announced that M. Ferry, President of the Council of Ministers, haß definitely assumed the position of Foreign Minister. ALEXANDRIA, Nov. 20. The Khedive has given orders that a force of Bashi-Bazouks and some regi-. ments of black troops, are to proceed without delay to Souakim, the scone of the recent defeat of Egyptian regulars by rebel hill tribes. MELBOURNE, Nov. 21. Knowles, the Salvationist, who was arrested on his own confession {or the murder of Bates, the actor, has been discharged from custody. BRISBANE, Nov. 21. Mr Griffiths, the newly appointed Premier, has been re-elected to Parliament by an immense majority over his opponent, Mr Raven.
