The Lincoln Mills came very near destruction on Thursday. The race was filled to overflowing by tho heavy rains, and the wator made its way for the mill. This was caused by the new flood-gates, ko, at tho dom having been made too high. ! But for the exertions of Mr Morris and some I friends, who out a ohannel and broke down part of the dam, the mill would probably , have been washed away
