Detective Benjamin, Constables Manning of Bulls, Motley of Woodville, and M'Anunty of Foxton, have given evidence. ■» hey deposed that they bad made sxlißUßtive inquiries, but had been unable to disoover anything of Williams, the reported father of the missing child. Motley, who is postmaster at Woodville, said no letter had been reoeived there for Williams for 12 months past, except one a month ago, and that had not been called i for. The case is not finished yet.
