NORTHERN AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.

+. A meeting oE the above Association was held at the Junotion Hotel, Bangiora, yesterday afternoon. There were seventeen members present, and, in the absence of the President (Mr J. M'Farlane), Mr O. Dampier-Orossley was voted to the ohair. Correspondence was read from several gentlemen, intimating their willingness to accept appointment on the Committee. A letter was read from Mr P. O. Threlkeld, in whioh he Btated that he considered the Committee appointed to revise the catalogue had made a g'eat mistake in striking out the olass for order Leioester sheep. This matter was thoroughly disoussed, the evident feeling of the meeting being that it would perhaps have been best to have allowed the olass to remain ; but as it was decided at the general meeting that all deoisions of the Bevißion Committee should be final, it was thought inadvisable to in any way attempt to interfere with their deoision in this instance. It was suggested that the Association should offer special prizes for the olass of sheep, provided no private prizes for the same objeot be forthcoming. Mr J. Hossaok moved a resolution to that effeot, but it was negatived by a majority of three. The election of Judges to aot at the show was then proceeded with, and the Seoretary was instructed to write to those gentlemen eleoted, requesting them to aot. The meeting then terminated.
