SYDENHAM.
The quarterly meeting of the Sydenham Lioensing Committee was held at noon to-day in the Christohuroh Besident Magistrate's Oourt; present— Dr Frankish (Ohairman), Messrs J. S. Williams, T. H. Bone, and N. K. Bowden. Sergeant Willis attended on behalf of the police, and handed in the usual report. The Ohairman remarked that at the last meeting of the Committee, the licensee of the Olub Hotel had been requested to erect a water trough. Sergeant Willis said this had not yet been done, but Mr Lawrence had told him. that a contraot waß taken for the work. The Oommittee confirmed the temporary transfer of the license of the Bouthern Cross Hotel from 0. A. Monoy to Patrick Burke. There being no further business before them, th* Oommittee adjourned.
