. ♦ An inquest was held at Mr Pashby's house, Kaiapoi, yesterday afternoon before James Hurse, E«q., Acting-Coroner, and a jury of 14 (Mr 0. J. Ohampion, foreman), on the body of the late James Walls. The jury found the following verdict :— "Deceased died from apoplexy, possibly aggravated by a fall from the trap. They wish to call attention to the dangerous condition of the oulvert where deoeased was found and with whioh no doubt the trap collided. Ihey consider that the oulvert should be widened for the proper protection of traffic."
