MELBOURNE, May 25. News has been received that Mr Thomas Archer, A gent- General for Queensland in London, has left England on a voyage to Australia.
ADELAIDE, May 25. Wheat is quiet at 5s 5d to 5s 65. ; town flour, per ton, £12 ss ; country brands, £11 ss.
SYDNEY, May 25. The Congregational jubilee has been brought to a conclusion, and the visiting delegates are now leaving the city for their respective homes. New Zealand wheat, per bushel, 4s 3d ; New Zealand oats have fallen to 2s 6d; lnaize, 3a. Sugar Company's No. 1 pieces, per ton, £35. It is announced that Mr Wright, late Postmaster-General, baa accented the portfolio of Public Works, vacant since the resignation of Mr Copeland, and has resigned the position ke has hitherto held in the Cabinet. No appointment has been rcado to the PostmasterGeneralship.
A Chinaman named Chow Ohonjr waaiilhd by a fall of earth at No Town, Greymouth district, on Wednesday.
