[PEB PBKSa ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Dbo. 7. The following regulation regarding reply paid and collect telegrams is gazetted :— "The sender of a reply paid, or collect message must, if requested is to do by the effieer in charge of the Telegraph Office, lodge a sufficient sum of money to cover the cost of the reply or colleot message. Any Burplus of caih will be refunded on delivery of the reply, and the money lodged with a collect message will bo refunded when the recipient has paid the charges." Tbo Oommifsion issued to Sir William Fox has been further «tended to Deo. 23, 1883. The following gentlemen have been appointed analy6ts, under the Tea Examination Aot :— James Alexander Poud, Auckland ; William Skey, Wellington ; Alexander William Bickerton, tlhristchurch j and James Gow Black, M.A , Dunedin. Under date, Nov. 28, Sir G. LT. O'Korke notifies that the seat for the Peninsula is vacant, by the death of Mr James Beaton, who died from the result of a serious accident on Nov. 18.
