In arriving at the merits of this machine aa compared with the one exhibited by tho Singer Company, tho jury have had conBidorablo difficulty in arriving at their decision, and it will bo satisfactory to tbe public to know that the awards have been given in the abovo ordor aftor long discussion by a majority of two to one." The Committeo have also examined tho following machines .—The Household, the Bradbury, the Howe, and tho Wheeler and Wilson, but beyond possessing some novelties in construction, they have no special points to entitle them to leading places in this report.
