Since tho resnmption of business after the kolidayß, we hnvo to report an exceedingly quiet Market. Outßide of the execution of a few small •rdors, transactions have been on a meagre acalo, ad valuoß for most linos ore without uioch okange. ■Whhit.— Quotations remain at 4s to 4s 6d, with a limited business pissing. A few sales of chick irhoat have transpired at 3s 6d to 3s 9d, Oats.— The enquiry for these is not so active. Prices of stout oats are alone maintained by the anaallness of stocks. Ordinary feed are plentiful •aough. For the i rinor 3s 3d to 3s 5d is quoted, «nd for the latter 3s Id to 3s 2d. Baklbt.— There is comparatively nothing doing ia this grain. Prices remain about the same. Fiouß.— Millers qnote £10 to £11, according to •rand. Potatoes are being delivered in small lots only at « to £5 10 a. GaAaa Shrd.— Tho market is utterly stagnant, Had prices nominal. Dairy Produce.— Butter is coming in much Itora freel/, and prices in consequence are easier Sid to 9d is quoted. Cheese, 7d to 8d is asked. Hams and bacon, 7^d to Bd.
