LINWOOD TOWN DISTRICT.

TO TUB BDITOB OP THB STAB. Sib, —l do not know what our members were doing to discharge our channel sweeper, for a more honeat workman r vor worked in the district. I am a shopkeeper in the district, and h'ivo had an opportunity of witness- [ ing how vigilantly he haa done his work and looked aftor tho ohannols. But as the Commissioners ure nearly all at one corner of the district, and their business keeping them out of the district six dayß out of seven, they have not the opportunity of knowing what thoy huvo really done. As to employing men I in the district in preference to outsiders I think that is very poor policy. Give me the man that gives the most for my money. —l am, &c, T. HULLETT. Armagh street, Linwood.
