UNION BOWING CLUB.
«- The final heat of the Maiden Double Boulls, for the Committee's prize, rowed last evening, produced a close and exciting race between Hyntan and fltyche. suit : — Dolphin — South bank : F. Hymau (stroke), G. Shand (bow), Pengelly (cox) ... 1 Daphne— North bank : F. Btyche (stroke), A. Flinders (bow), W. Styohe (cox) ... 2 Hyman got slightly the beet of the start, and kept his boat about half a length in front all the way up the straight. With the first corner in his favour this had been increased to a dear length. Styohe then began to creep up, and having Oowlißhaw's it was expected that he would bo leading when the corner waa rounded, but this was not the case, as when the boats were again in the straight it was seen that he was a length and a half in the rear. Hyman led by two lengths at the bridge, and despite Btyohe's game efforts, rowed home a winner by aolear length. Members of this Club are reminded that entrios for the Maiden Fours olose to-morrow immediately the Senior Fours have been rowed.
