The s.s. Arawata in Refuge Cove.
[Received Oct. 6, at 1.10 p.m.J MELBOURNE, Oct. 6. The s.B. Arawata, which left the Bluff on Sept. 29, was sighted off Wilson's Promontory laßt night, and was seen going into Refuge Cove. She made no signals, and the cause of the movement is therefore at present unknown. AUCKLAND, Oct. 6. A meeting yesterday decided on the establishment of a women's reformatory here. 2he sum of £1250 ii already available. The city market was leased by auction today) for one year, for £840 — an advance of £120 per annum. DUNEDIN, Oct. 6. At a meeting of the creditors of David Forsyth, butcher, of Port Chalmers, the liabilities were stated to be £5191, and the assets £2558, partly secured. The National Bfcnk holds billa of sale to seoura £2500.
