Tins Day. Thomas Coyno was charpod with being drunk onitho railway. Dr Bouse, the presiding Juatice, inflicted a fino of 10a, at the saino time commenting upon the laxity of the railway ofliciala in allowing peraona in a stato of intoxication to traTel in tho train, a practice whioh had becomo very frequent of lato. It was pointed out that peraons ao offending wero liablo to a fine of £10, or two montbs' hard labour ; whilst power waa, under tho provisions of tho Public Works Act, given to any of the railway ofc'cials to urrest anyone for drunkennesn or diaorderly conduct on any train, or part of the railway premises.
