MELBOURNE, Mabch 27. Mr Charles Kermot, member for Geelong, died to-day.

It is stated that Bryant, the informant of the Age regarding tbe alleged Russian designs upon the Colonies, has suddenly disappeared from Melbourne.

SYDNEY, Mabch 2?. The Colonial Secretary, Sir John Robertson, while going on board a steamer on Saturday afternoon slipped and fell into the water. He swam to the shore safely before assistancecould be rendered him.

A deputation of miners belonging to the A.A. Company's Colliery had an interview to-day with the Company's manager, Mr Gregson. No settlement, however, was arrived at, and a favourable issue to tbe negotiations is not expected.
