Ib the House of Lords to-day a Bill introduced by the Earl of Redoedale requiring that members of Parliament, upon.' taking the customary oaths 'ofallegiance, should declare their belief ih God, was rejected on the motion- for second* reading without division.
Ia the House of Commons to-day, & motion granting a sum of £10,000; as annuity to Prince Leopold, on the occasion of his approaching marriage to the Princess Helena of WaldeckPyrmont, was voted on division by a considerable majority. The minority, numbering 42, consisted o£ Radicals and) Parnellite members.
WASHINGTON, March 23..:*
The House of Representatives has passed the Chinese Exclusion Bill, which wa's recently voted by the Senate. The- measure entirely prohibits Chinese immigration for twenty years, and only permits Chinese officials, merchants, students and travellers to enter the United States.
