TAI TAPU RACES.
The annual Tai Tap'u races came off yesterday in Mr Murray's paddock. The attendance was not large, and was principally made up of the Ohristchurch contingent, two or three of the bookmakers also putting in an appearance, and doing a good business. Mr La Suenr put £236 through his totalisator during the day, a very tidy sum for a country meeting. The various officials worked well, and a pleasant day's sport resulted, the Bailway Band, by their excellent music, contributing in no small measure to the enjoy* ment.
