LONDON, March 21.

The Marquis of Huntley, for whose apprehension a warrant was issued in January last, on a charge of defrauding a money-lender, and who was supposed to have absconded to Russia, has returned to England, and surrendered himself to the police.

Messages addressed by the Queen to Parliament, asking that provision should be made for Prince Leopold upon hi* approadr>g marriage, were tabled in both Houses to-day. The debate on the messages will take place to-morrosv. In the House of <>ommon. Mr Labo-a--chere has announced his intention of opposing the Queen's mcieage.

An attempt was made this evening to destroy tbe offices of the Detective Department in Dublin. A quantity of explosive material which bad been placed near the offices was fired, and much damage done to the building. No loss of life occurred, although there were several persons in the building at tbe time of the explosion.

Consols remain ab 101|, and New Zealand securities at the following quotations:— -5 per cent, 10-40 loan, 104; 5 per cent, ISS9 loan, 104J-; 4 J per cent, 1879-1904 loan, 103. The market rate of discount ha_ further declined to 3 J per cent; Bank rate, 4.

The market for Colonial breads tuffs is quiet, but pricea aro steady at the Wowing quotations : — Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, 53s ; New Zealand, ditto, 493 ; Adelaide flonr, ex store, 375.

Australian tallow — best beef, 39s ; best mutton, -14s. Market dull.

At the wool sale to-day, 9990 bales were offered. A good demand was experienced. Good wools generally are quiet and easier. New South Wales greasy ie abont Id higher than at last sales; ocourpd. inferior, and faulty woolb of all kind- arc it'icgitla;' ; ciocsbreds are quieter.
