MALICIOUS INJURY TO PROPERTY.

At the Resident Magistrate's Court this morning, before J. Nugent Wood, Esq., R.M., the information and complaint of James Willis set forth thst John Sansom, Henry Blackett, and John Hossack, all of Rangiora, did on August 18 at Chri.tchurch wilfully and maliciously damage certain type, the property of the informant, valued at £18.
John Hossack was further oharged with assaulting George Gerrard at the Liberty office on August 18.
Mr Stringer said that in this case there appeared to be a desire on both sides to have the case settled out of Court, and for that purpose he would apply for a remand to 3 o'clock this afternoon. Superintendent Broham did not object, and His Worship granted the remand accordingly.
At 12 noon, Mr Stringer informed His Worship that he had not succeeded in settling the case.
