NEW SOUTH WALES.
Sydney, Dec. 9.
Great excitement was caused on Monday by the exhibition of splendid specimens from the ninety-feet level of the Hibernian reef, eight miles from Temora. Rich finds of nuggets are reported at TKeating'a, and Hayes and Buckley's claims. The Inspector of Mines declares the lead to be an alluvial lode, similar to the Canadian, at Gulgong, or that found at Carcoar.
Mr Norton, tho Police Magistrate lately shot through the head at Dubbo, continues to improve, and is thoroughly sensible. The wound is apparently healing fast. The right side and arm are still paralysed, but it is said that the arm shows slight Bigns of sensibility. Norton is unable to articulate.
