It is likely there will be another prosecution in the sealskin jacket case, against Cornish, notwithstanding he asserted that tho jackot had been previously worn. The Hospital Committeo on Tuesday severely censured Dr Newman. Two other oharges will be investigated by tbe Committee j one directly implicating the same doctor. In the Assembly yesterday, a parsage of arms occurred between Mr Berry and Sir Bryan O'Loghlen. Mr Berry said the Government would rather go into opposition than submit to insult and humiliation from the member for West Bourke. Sir Bryan O'Loghlen referred to the polioy of the Government as " Jellyfish polioy." Colonel Scratchley's term having expired, arrangements will be made to continuo his services for another year. Replies have been received from Queensland, Tasmania, and Australia, accepting the invitations to the Conference at Sydney. New Zealand awaits the arrival of the official letter.
