The Court will also deal with the lands at Hokianga, Whangarei, Thames, Taupo, Bay of .Plenty, Tolado Bay, Otaki, WangaDui and Patea. The Government have scheduled blocks of about a million acres in area, with regard to which they will proceed under "The Native Land Act of 1877," in order to set aside land equivalent to tho Government advances from the date of the order of the Court. DUNEDIN, Not. 24. A Nice Thing. As the Oamaru train due in town at 12.45 to-day, was nearing the Port Chalmers quarry, a heavy blast was fired, which dislodged a lump of stone estimated at somewhere about ten tons. Thia mass came rolling down on to the line tearing up some of the rails and sleepers. A quarrymanhad just time to give warning to the approaching train of the danger ahead. If the train had been two minutes in advanco of the correct time, the stone would probably have descended on to the top of it.. After a detention of one hour and a half the line was cleared, and the train proceeded to Dunedin, the passengers having walked fco fche lower station. DUNEDIN, Not. 25. Scored Out.
