CONGEST AT ST PATRICK'S HALL.

A concert in aid df the band of the Hibernian Society, took place last night in St Patrick's .Hall, iJainadoea street. The hall was well filled and a long programme was gone through. The instrumental numbers included two overtures on piano, violin, clarionet, flute, cornet, and violoncello, by Messrs Bearrell, Cohen, Bonnington, Kerr, Tyrell, -and Nottingham ; a piano solo by Miss J. Popet; a cornet solo by Mr Tyrell-; a trio for piano, violin, and Tiolinoello by Messrs Searrell, Cohen, and Nottingham ; and a solo on the violin by Mr Cohen. The "vocal numbers included songs by Miss Ness, 'Mus King, a lady amateur, whose name was not given, Mr ~R. A. Loughnan, Mr Oppenheim, Master Nottingham, Mr 3Tox, Mr A. C. Nottingham, and a gentleman whose name was not announced. Besides 'these, Mr J. J. Kennedy recited with great humour and 'elocutionary power, " Bhamus O'Brien.;" Mr J. T. Barrett recited very ■correctly " Mark Anthony's Oration ;" and .^another .gentleman gave -a loDg reading from "Nicholas Niokleby." The applau?o w« rery enthusiastic and encores were numerous, though onlr in one or two instances were i -songs repeated, the programme being suffi.ciently lengthy without repetitions a* the last item was barely concluded by 11 o'clock.
