The Oamaru-Naseby Railway.
At a meeting of tho Oamaru-Naseby Bvtway Committee to-day, tho following resolutions wore paesod:—" That the Secretary and Chairman be requested to telegraph to the members for this district, and to tho momber for Mount Ida (Mr i)e Lautour), stating .. that a full moeting of: the Hailway Committee was held to-day, and urgeß a special effort for the placing of the sum of £500 on the Supplementary Estimates for tbe purposo of causing a complete Burvoy to be made, with a view to ascertaining the best route for the 1 continuation of the Windsor-Livingstone line from Livingstone to a junction with the main interior (Strath-Taieri) railway on the Kyeburn Flat." " That a sub-committee be formed, consisting of Messrs Gibbs (convener), Steward, flcid, Brown, Mooro, and Sumptcr, three to form a quorum for tho furthering of the object in view, with power to communtcate with tho Government by telegraph or letter' on tho subject, and to tako such other immediate stops as they may deem necessary for that purpose, to endeavour to arrangowitli tho County Councils, Town Councils, and »'' Boad Boardß, to obtain somo small pecuniary assistance, and to endeavour to obtain a further sum by private subscription." "That it be recommended to the Committee that the member for the district (Mr De Lautour) be respectfully requested to urge that the question as to whether the levels at Livingstono of the present line from Windsor to Livingstone will serve for a continuation for the line to Naseby be enquired into, and that if tho line as at present surveyed is not being run out at Livingstone at ft suitable level, that instructions be given to cause such alterations to be made as may bo necessary to enable a through line to be constructed, viz., from Livingstone to Kyeburi ."
