The -. bail for the captain was -fixed himself in £200, and two sureties of £200, and for the mate , himself £100, and two sureties of dBIOO 1 . , *At an ordinary general meeting of ' the" Auckland Steam Packet Company no dividend was recommended by the director*. The report and balance-sheet? were adopted, and ; Captain Daldy and Mr G. S. Kissling were* re-elected directors. i' At the inquest on the fire at Mr Lamb's mill the evidence showed' that the amount insured waß £3000 and the loss £800.. A verdict of accidental fire was returned. • *■ Mr Shoehan has been interviewed all day by Natives on Native affairs. He drove out . with the Hon. LahmanyM.L.O., to see various places of interest.
