MAIL NOTICES.
Mails olose at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under t— Saturday, June 21. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Botorna, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. ; guard's van 2.40 p.m. train. For New South Wales, and Queensland, per Ladybird (to connect with s.s. Tararua, at Auckland) at 12 noon ; late fee letters, 12.30 p.m. ; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. For the United Kingdom, continents of Europe and America, West Indies (via San Francisco;, China, Japan, Sandwich Islands, Northern Forts of New Zealand, &0., per Ladybird, as under:— Ordinary letters at 12 noon, late fee letters at 12.30 p.m., books and newspapers at 11.30 a.m ., registered letters at 11 a.m., money orders at 11 a.m., late letter box, guard's van, 1.25 p.m Lyttelton train. The mail for the United Kingdom will be due in London on Augnst 5. Tuesday, June 21. For Otngo and Australian Colonies, per express train to Fort Chalmers, to connect with the s.s. Botoraa, at 7.30 a.m. The next mails for the United Kingdom vU Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only) will be closed at Christohurch on June 30. The mail via Brindisi will be dne in London on Aug 25, and the mail via Southampton on Sept. 1
