CHRISTCHURCH RAILWAY EMPLOYEES' SICK BENEFIT SOCIETY.

The half-yearly meeting of th&aboro Society was held last evening, at the Terminus Hotel, Mr P. Ferguson, President, in the chair. The minutes of tha last general and' special general, meetings, and the various committee meetings held, were read and confirmed. This balance to be divided in proportion of members to number of months would give as follows: — 108 full members, 6 jnonths at 6s 9d each ; 6 members at 5 months, 5s 7{d ; 7 members at 4 months, 4a 6d; 8 members at 3 months, 3s 4id; » members at 2 months, 2s 3d. Total divided in above proportion, £40 5s 6d. On the motion of Mr B. Mateon, seconded by Mr Willmot, the auditors* report was adopted. Votes of thanks to the auditors and to Mr W. B. Boady, aecretary, were unanimously carried. The rules of the Society were then read seriatim, and revised in instances, after which it was resolved to have the corrected rules printed and also a number of new pence cards. The meeting terminated wilh a vote of thank* to the Chairman.
