The anniversary dinner of the Couit Star of Aahburton, No. 6034, was hell at the Somerset Hotel on Tuesday evening last. There was a vjry good muster of members. The 0.R., Bro Muschamp, occupied the chair, and Bro Edwards, 5.0. R., the vicechair. After ample justice had been done to the excellent spread provided by Bro Shearman, the cloth was removed, and after the usual loyal toasts had been disposed of the following were then duly honoured, viz. :— " Tho Governor and Executive Council," "Canterbury United District, A.0.F.," coupled with the names of the district officers ; responded to by Bro Hall. "The Sister Lodges ; " responded to by Bros Cookson and Dolman. " The Medical Officer, Dr Me. B. Stewart," and responded to by that gentleman, " The Guests," " The Visiting Brethren," " The Host and Hostess." Some capital songs were rendered during the evening, -which tended to enliven the proceedings. The company separated at 11 o'clock after spending a verj pleasant reunion.
