OXFORD AMATEUR DRAMATIC CLUB
An entertainment was given by the mombers of the abovo Club at the East Oxford Town Hall on Monday ovoning in aid of tho funds of tho Club.
The attondanco was very good considering fcho stato of the weathor.
" Wilful Ward " was first submitted, Mr Dobson taking tho part of Sir Peregrine Placid, MrNewland, Mr Fred Liapington, and Mias Dhorman as the Wilful Ward. Tho piece went very woll throughout, and Miss Dhorman deserves to bo commended for tho manner in which she took her part, Mr Nowland and Mr Dobson acquitted themselves extremely well.
" Up a Treo " was noxt placod on tho stage. Mr Reynolds took the part of Mr Dovecot, Mr Horsnall as Gideon Holdfast, Mr Willcox as Mr Latimer, Mr Hargreavea a3 the widow, and Miss Dhorman aa Dorcas. This pieco caused a considerable amount of amusement, each acting extremely woll, calling forth applause at the ond of each scene. Mr Horanall and Mr Reynolds, who took tho leading parts in this pieco, displayed somo really good acting. The Lancashire Bollringors kindly attonded, and gavo a series of tunes, which wero much i appreciated.
