fBY TbIiEGRAPH.] INVERCARGILL, Jan. 13. The match between the Gentlemen of England and the Australian JUeren ended early ou Jan 4, in a victory for the latter with 10 wickets to spare. The Australian Eleven in their second innings had only 18 runs to make to win. They completed their first innings for 25G. The only player on the English side who made a stand on Friday was Lord Harris, who scored 36 before he was caught off Spoii'orth, just before the stumps were drawn for the day. Mr S. Sehultz and Emmett on Saturday made a good stand, or the Englishmen would have been defeated in one innings. The Gentlemen's first innings lias already been telegraphed.
