COLONIAL NEWSPAPERS.
(From the N.Z. Press News.) The following table gives the population of each of the Colonies in the Australasian group (so far as we have been able to ascertain), with the number of newspapers published in each, together with the proportion per head of the population. New Zealand appears to the best advantage, thero being an average of one newspaper to every 3635 of the population : — Colo »y- Peer's.
