The statement of a Dunedin journal, which waa telegraphed over the Colony, to tho effect that land had depreciated to the extent of half its former valuo, has met with gcnoral condemnation here. Tho morning paper attributes the insertion of the report to the credenco given to the statements of perhaps interested parties, and says that there is no foundation in fact for tho roport at all.
