Jan. 10. The directors of the Pumping Association, Wellington, have informed Mr Black, the manager, that his services are dispensed with. No funds are in hand for the undertaking, the tightness of the money market affecting permanent stocks, especially Insurance and Bank shares.
At Mangawhare, in Northern Wairoa, a man Darned Low has died suddenly from apoplexy.
