WESLEYAN CHURCH.

The quarterly meeting of the Durham street circuit was held in the vestry of the Church on Monday evening last, the Rev W. Morley presiding. Owing to the holidays, the attendance of office-bearers was scarcely so large as usual. The return of Church members presented by the Chairman showed an increase of 8. Messrs Ballantyne and Harris, Circuit Stewards, presented the financial statement, showing an income of £241 15s 3d, with an expenditure of £200 19s 9d. An additional sum of £220 had been raised during the quarter for Home Mission. The Stewards gave notice that at the next meeting they would move an addition of £100 per annum to the superintendent minister's stipend. The statistics of the Sunday schools were sub- j • mifcted, showing that at Durham street, East I | belt, and Woolston, there are in all 71 : teachers and 778 scholars, with an average ■ attendance of 543. It was reported that the corner section adjoining the East belt church had been purcliassd with a view to the l erection of a more commodious church in that locality, and also that an excellent site had been secured on the main road at "Woolston, i to which the Trustees intended removing the ■ present church. Sanction was given to the application of ■ the Heathcote Valley trustees for tho sale of the church site, a new one having boon ac-~ ' quired, and the churoh removed thereto. t Other matters in relation to church extension were remitted to a Committee. On a ballot being taken, Messrs C. W. Turner, J. L. Wilson, and E. C. Mouldey were elected Lay Representatives to the Auck- - land Conference. The Rev A.
