A PURE AROMATIC SPIRIT, distiUed and prepared in Holland, from an original recipe, and possessing rare 'medicinal qualities in all diseases of the kidneys, bladder, and urinary organs. As a tonic, diuretic, and anti-dyspeptic cordial it has the. recommendation of the leading continentalphysicians, and is now acknowledged as the latest and most valuable remedy for gravel, gout, and chronic rheumatism. Dr. Hassall'aReport, the Analytical and Sanitary Institution, 54, Holborn Viaduct, E.C., London, May 9, 1877. Report on a sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr H. J. Hart. We have subjected a sample of the above-named article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report, show that this spirit is of goodstrength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a puro and mild taste. MiHart's Schiedam Schnapps is a very superior i article of its class, is well purified, and quite genuine. (Signed) Arthur H. JOHNSON'S REPORT— Govern* ment Analytical Laboratory, Melbourne, July 23, IS77.— Henri J. Hart, Esq.— Sir,— l have tlie honour to report for your information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of Schapps that has as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and is absolutely free from any trace of fusil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate and in this respect compares favourably with other samples offeredfor sale. It may be advised as equally suitable for medical or economic purposes. I have the honour to be, &c. (Signed) Wm. Johnson, Analytical Chemist to tlie Govern-' ment of Victoria. _w*_. This puro medical spirit — superior to any in tho market, and lower in price, is offeredto the public under the full conviction that it will supersede all others now in use. A TRIAL IS EARNESTLY SOLICITED. WILSON, SAWTELL, & CO., 314 Merchants, Agents, Christchurch.
