Wemington, August 10. A telegram was veooived by the Premier last evening from Sims and Taylor, tho gentlemen in ohargo of tho oablo repairing: Hteamer Edinburgh. It is dated yesterday, and states :— ■" Edinburgh returned to Darwin} repaired cable; breaks on hard bottom on Sahut bank. Have put down heavier cable over this bank. Batavia-Singapore Sootion, July 26." DtTNEDIN, AugUSti 10. A PIOUS MAGSMAN, The bouse of Donnelly, tho burglar who was captured yostorday, has been 'searched, and a complete set of housebreaker's 1 tools, wigs, and disguises" found, also two loadod pistols. He attended Sunday Sohool on Sunday, and in the evening broko into and robbed two premises.
