It was resolved to adopt the balance-sheet and report. The Chairman said the next business before the meeting was to elect officers for the ensuing year. Mr J. Gebbie proposed, and Mr Jag. Hay* don seconded, that Mr A. C. Knight be re* eleoted President.

Mr Enight thought that it would be better for the meeting to appoint one in the District who could attend their meetings more regularly, for instance, their late Vioe-Preeident.

Mr O'Callagban said he must decline to take the presidency, and thought that the meeting ehould not allow their Ohairman to retire in the way in whioh he proposed. Mr Knight said ho would consent if it was the wish of the meeting.

The motion was then put and carried unanimously.

On tho motion of Mr W. Henderson, the Rev A. P. O'Callaghan was re-elected Vicepresident.

Mr John Gebbie proposed Mr W. A. Murray as Hon. Seo. and Treasurer. Carried. Also, that Mr Bishop bo requested to act as Auditor.

The following gentlemen were then elected as a General Committee for the ensuing year : — Messrs R. M. Bovey, James Beaumont, James Gammaok, J Gebbie, James Haydon, W. Laury, J. M'Betb, W. Marcroffc, J. G. Murray, F. 0. Murray, P. Muir, S. Nutt, D. O'Oallaghan, H. Pannetfc, John Sharp, James Shawe, E. Townshend, J. N. Tosswill, John Wills, H. White, and R. Wright. Mr J. Gebbie said, as he was obliged to leave, ho would like to know when they would be receiving private prizes, as it was bis intention to offer one himself. But he had not quite made up his mind for what he would offer it, but he thought it most likely he should give it for the best ehort-horned cow or heifer on the ground.

The Chairman said that it was as well that offers of these prizes should be made at an early date to enable them to be put in the catalogue of premiums, but that Mr Qebbie could arrange it with the Seoretary. Considerable discussion took place upon rule 2, which states that stock mast b» depas* tured in the diatriofc for two months previous to the show. Several gentlemen thought that this should be struck out, and that all rate* payers in the prescribed distriot should be entitled to exhibit stock, but eventually the rule was confirmed upon the understanding that certain classes should be thrown open to all comers.

On account of the races being on the day fixed for the Show it was resolved that it be held this year on Friday, Nov. 3.

The catalogue was then gone through, and several alterations were made, and it was decided that the following classes should be open to all comers :— Sam under eighteen months old in all the different breeds, two-year-old bull, boar under eighteen months old, and all the implement and dairy produce olaases.

It was resolved that the Seoretary should have the necessary printing and advertising in oonneotion with the coming Show done. A vote of thanks to the Chairman, and the meeting terminated.
