Poultry Association. — A general meeting of members was held at Warner's Hotel last night, Mr E. Strange in the chair. The new rules were brought up, and having been considered seriatim, were adopted, after which the meeting terminated. Theatre Royal.— Mr Keogh took a benefit last night, when there was a large attendance. The pieces were " The Irish Emigrant," and the burlesque " The Bronze Horse," both of which wero well put upon tbe atage, the scenery and effects in the latter being good. The same will be presented this evening. Electoral. — A meeting of resident in the St. Albans part of the Papanui district was held in the reading-room, High street, on Tuesday evening, Mr J. A. Efford in the chair, when it waa unanimously reaolved to support Mr Wynn Williams afc the forthcoming election. A committee to further tho ohjecta of the meeting was appointed, after which it was decided to hold another meeting of electora in the same place, and that Mr Williams should be requested to attend and explain his views on the political questions of the day.
