Some bricklayers were finishing the coping to a three-storey building in Princes atreet, when the coping gave way and carried the scaffolding with it. The workmen fell 60 feet to the ground. Mr Smith, a plasterer, was seriously injured, and fears are entertained that the result will be fatal. The others escaped with cuts and bruises. Tho Northern escort brought down 10,5730zs yesterday. A fire occurred at Mr Stephens' spice factory, caused by some malt Btored in the building igniting through spontaneous combustion. The fire was discoyered early. The damage is estimated at £200.
