The estimated tofcal revenue of the province is £70,-117 ; the proposed appropriations, without providing for education, exceeded the amount. Tho Government hns intimated thafc the province must 'provide for education by a compulsory rate. Wellington, Nov. 22. The Independent suggests the establishing of an ordor of merit for the colony, so as to be able to grant badges for heroic actions. Dunedin, Nov. 22. Messrs Reynolds, Bathgate, and Bishop Moran are passengers by the Nebraska. Mr Reynold attends the Intercolonial Conference. At the wool sales, greasy wool sold at ll^d to'l2£d ,- half- washed, 14d to 14|d ; Leicester, 15d to 15§d. Warden, alias Gallagher, repeated his insubordination to-day ; sentenced lo 50 lashes.
