*e> Avcklakd, Nov. 20, 11.13 a.m. A great fire occurred in Forb street this morning. The Telegraph office, Customhouse, Post-office, Provincial Government offices, and several warehouses were destroyed. The damage ia estimated at £60,000. Wellington, Nov. 20. The Governor has received official intimation of his appointment to Victoria. He will probably not leave the colony before March. Eto will visit Canterbury and Otago next month. He leaves for Manawatu to-day to •visit Mr Fox. Exhibits for the Vienna Exhibition will be received till April 1873. The Independent liopos as there is still time, representative exhibits will be forwarded, besides a catalogue of specimens from those selected by Dr Hector. Special instructions have been forwarded to tlio Agent -General to accelerate immigration matters, to give special attention to Ireland, and to place the Scotch agencies upon their original footing. ! The Warwickshire sailed for Auckland on the 4th mat. with 150 immigrants. The ITorfarshiro was to sail for Wellington on the J2th with 400. sDhe Now Zealand Steam Navigation Company offer to carry exhibits to the Canterbury Exhibition without charge.
