Mails close at tho chief office as under : — For tho Northern provinces of New Zealand, per the s.s. Taranaki, on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 1.30 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, tho West Indies (via San Francisco), also the Sandwich Islands, per the s.s. Phoebe (for transhipment to p.s. Nebraska at Auckland), on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 1 p.m. Newspapers at 12 noon. Money orders and registered letters at 10.30 a.m. For the Northern provinces of New Zealand, per the s.s. Phcobo on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 1.30 p.m. Late letters for all the above places will be received till 2 p.m.; such letters must bear a single rate above the full postage.
