Letters addressed to any part of India, Hongkong, Pennng, Singapore, and any part of China or Japan, the Phillipine Islands, Java, Sumatra, Borneo, Labuan, the Moluccas, and Siam, are chargeable as follows : — Not exceeding half-an-ounce ... Letters addressed to officers serving on board any of her Majesty's ships on a foreign station, when sent through the United Kingdom, are chargeable as follows :— Same as the general public. POST-OFFICE SAVINGS BANK AND MONEY ORDERS, AND GOVERNMKNT ANNUITIES AND INSURANCE. Offices at Christchurch, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Temuka, Waimate, and Kowai. Open from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.

The commission charged on Money Orders issued within New Zealand is as follows :— For any sum Not exceeding £5 6d Not exceeding £io ls Od On the Australian Colonies — For any sum not exceeding -£5 IsOd Above £5 and not exceeding £10 2s Od And' on the United Kingdom the charges are — For sums not exceeding £2, ls Oi „ „ £5, 2s 6d „ „ £7, Ss 6d „ „ £10, 5s Od No single order issued for a larger amount than £10. Full information as to form of application for a Money Order, &c, will be supplied to the public on application at any Money Order Office. The Government, through the agency of the Post-office, grant Annuities, immediate or deferred, Life Insurance, &c, &c. NEWSPAPER. From any part of the colony to and other part of the colony id.
