CABS V. POLICE.
TO TUE EDITOR OF THE STAR Sir,—The other day, as I was driving down by the railway, I saw some cowdung, and, my horse's fett being bad, I thought 1 would collect some. I got off my cab, and was absent about five minutes, when a constable came and asked what I was doing. I told him, and that my horse was quiet. He said " All right," and went away, when to-day I was summoned and fined 10s, which I thiuk was very hard. Your obedient servant, THOMAS MACKAY.
