MAIL NOTICES.
Mails for the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Africa, America, and the West Indies, and Sandwich Islands, via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, Oct. 1; at 9 p.m. Newspapers at 8 p.m. Money orders may be obtained and letters registered till 5 p.m. Mails for the Northern Provinces of New Zealand will close on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 9 p.m. Late letters for all the above places may be posted up to 8.45 a.m., on Sunday, Oct. 2. Such letters must bear the usual late fee in postage stamps.
