The schooner Fairy, Capt. Bissett, cleared the Customs for Greymouth this morning with a cargo of produce, shipped by Messrs Belcher and Fairweather, of Kaiapoi. The barque Velocidade, Capt. McNaughton, sailed for Sydney this morning. \ Tub s.s. Airedale, A. Kennedy, commander, arrived in harbour last night at a quarter to six o'clock, bringing the San Francisco mail after a passage of three days from leaving Auckland to Lyttelton. Sho left the Onehunga wharf, having transhipped tho English mails from the! City of Melbourne on Aug. 15, at 11.45 ! a.m. ; crossed the Manukau Wharf at 1.30 p.m. ; had variable winds to Taranaki, off which she anchored at 1.30 a.m. on the 1 6th ; the surf-boat came alongside at 4 a.m., and received passengers, mails, and cargo. Sailed at 4.30, and had heavy south-east gales and high head seas with thick rainy weather ; arrived off the Nelson lighthouse at 8.45 same night, and entered the harbour at 10.30 ; landed mails and cargo, and left at 1.15 a.m. on the 17th ; reached Picton at 9.45 a.m., and proceeded again at 10.30 ; had strong south-east winds across the Straits, arriving at Wellington at 3.30 same afternoon ; coaled and left again at 12.15 a.m. on the "18th, arriving as above.
