T" HIS COMPANY is formed for the purpose of working a large area of auriferous .ground Bituated in the Collingwood District, Province of Nelson, and comprising 33 acres in extent, secured by Leases from the Nelson Government. This Land has been secured by the promoters after a great deal of trouble, and a considerable sum has been expended in the development of the property, the purchase of tools, &c. ; resulting, however, in the satisfactory proof that, the Company possesses a well-defined Reef , traceable through the property, part of which has .been uncovered, and a ton of stone taken from it, at a depth of only eleven feet from the surface, crushed at the Kuranui Battery, yielding 8 dwts. of gold. In submitting this venture to the public, the promoters invite 'special attention to the facts that the district is well known to be a rich gold-bearing one, and that the Company's daim is bounded by the renowned "Slate River," from which very large finds of rich gold have been obtained, . and is in close proximity to the Perseverance Company's claim, whose last crushing, of 50 tons yielded 172 J ounces of gold. The main object of extending the present Company is forthe purpose of introducing additional Capital for the immediate purchase of the necessary machinery and appliances for systematically working the Reef. , The convenience at Collingwood for landing, and the existence of a good road from the Wharf to the Company's claim, renders it comparatively easy and inexpensive to get machinery on to_the ground. *** Applications for Shares, accompanied by a deposit of £1 per Share, will he received at the Office of C.
